Indigo Chiang Mai Holidays
Terms and conditions
1. How to book. The “Party Leader” should make a “Booking request” by filling in the “Booking form” on this site. It can be sent from the website or printed out and faxed to us. The “Party Leader” is the person who serves the “contact person” of the party. He/she must be authorised to make the booking on behalf of the other members of the travelling party.
If you have any special requests or requirements, eg. Pram and nappies for babies, child seats for cars, certain dietary requirements, disabilities, etc, please also include the details in the “Booking Form”. We will do our best to fulfil these requests, however, we cannot guarantee it in all circumstances. In any case, we will let you know.
2. Once the “Booking request” is made, we will put together a “travel plan” for you and your family or group. We will also be giving you an estimate of the costs based on the “travel plan” provided. Note: The “Booking request” is not a confirmation of your booking.
3. If you are happy with this “travel plan”, please let us know via e-mail or fax. We will then check for availabilities and confirm with you via e-mail, together with the actual costs of the trip.
4. If you want to make any changes, please inform us asap.
5. To confirm and secureyour booking, please make a payment of 50% (See “payment” section). A confirmation receipt will be sent to the “Party Leader”. Please make sure all the details are correct and inform us immediately of any inaccuracies.
6. The balance of the payment is due two months before your arrival date. If we do not receive the payment by this date, it is deemed that you’ve decided to cancel the trip and we are entitled to keep all deposits paid.
7. If you wish to make changes after your holiday has been confirmed, please tell us as soon as possible so arrangements can be made. Please note that such changes may result in a recalculation of your holiday price depending on the different activities and dates. There is an administration charge of 300 baht per person to be paid before changes can be made.
8. Cancellation by you. If you wish to cancel your trip after the booking has been confirmed, the following cancellation charges apply:
2 months before arrival in Chiang Mai: Full Deposit amount
30 days before arrival in Chiang Mai: 75% of total holiday price
30 days or less before arrival: 100% of total holiday price
On or after arrival: 100% of total holiday price
Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to claim part of the cancellation charges through your insurance. Please contact them about this.
If the number of your party is reduced:
Please let us know as soon as possible so we can re-calculate your holiday price and re-invoice you.
9. Insurance. It is highly recommended that you and your party have sufficient travel insurance coverage during your trip. Please also make sure that you have enough insurance coverage for the activities that you’ll be involved in, particularly the more adventurous type activities.
10. Changes or cancellation by us.
Because holidays are planned, normally many months in advance, occasionally some minor changes may occur. For example, it might be raining on the day that the activity is scheduled, so other arrangements will have to be made. We reserve the right to make changes if required. If this happens we will let you know and suggest some other options agreeable to you.
We try as much as possible not to cancel holidays. We may have to do so, however, if there are circumstances beyond our control. In this case, you may choose from booking another holiday with us, or get a full refund.
11. Force majeure. We regret we cannot be liable for the loss or damage suffered by you as a result of such events. These are events that we and/or the supplier of services cannot foresee and avoid. Such events may include actual or threatened war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
If these unlikely events do occur during your holiday, and we are forced to cancel the rest of your trip, we also regret that we cannot provide you with a refund or compensation of the expenses incurred by you as a result, unless the supplier of the services provides us with the refund. However, we will assist you as much as possible to ensure your safety.
12. Complaints and problems. We want you to have a wonderful holiday. If you experience problems, or not happy with anything during your trip, or need anything, please inform your tour guide or supplier of the service, or us immediately so the problem can be rectified. We are right in Chiang Mai, so if you have any concerns or problems, they can be easily taken care off.
13. Damages caused by you or your party. You are responsible for the damage caused by you and your party. The full payment to cover the damages caused by you or your party must be paid to the affected party as soon as possible.
If you or any or your party behaves in such a way that may cause danger, upset or distress to someone else, we reserve the right to terminate the holiday of the person(s) concerned without notice or refund given. We will not pay for the expenses incurred by the person as the result of this termination.
14. Passports, visa and health requirements. You are responsible for making sure you have valid passports and visas to enter Thailand. For your own wellbeing, please make sure that you are vaccinated with all the recommended vaccinations before entering Thailand. (More information on the FAQ page)
15. Website/advertising material accuracy. Whilst we do our best to provide accurate information at the time of printing, sometimes things may change, or mistakes occur. Please check the details with us again at the time of booking.
